This black Metron looks almost like Marvel's Black Bolt, but that's okay. (Although I still like the blue one better.)

I also mistakenly believe the ban of firearms was a Mcfarlane policy until someone pointed out the directive came from Warner, probably because was implemented during the McFarlane years since it didn't have those restrictions with Mattel.

Oh I knew the ban didn't come from him. Whatever issues I may have with his figures, he didn't make that policy. Which is why I pointed out he made a weapons pack under his own brand, not Warners, that could be used for these DC figures.

I think someone finally got the clue that such a rule made absolutely no sense. I know he did make firearms under his own company that would have been compatible with these 7" figures.

I just shake my head at the reasoning process some of these people use.

Probably a change of staff at Warners licensing, I expect.

This is one of the few occasions in which both the regular release and the Collector Edition are comic accurate and not a senseless repaint.

I realize I'm most likely late to this, but I don't really follow this line. I thought McFarlane wasn't allowed to include guns with his is DC figures.

That was a rule for a while, but now it seems if the words "Not a Toy" are included somewhere in promos/packaging it's fine.
