That Conner looks great ,but we should've gotten a classic Ollie first. Well there's always Mattel.

The classic version of most characters is rarely the first. Theres 15 months left (give or take). If the release schedule is like 2024 then I can almost guarantee well get one. Expect 120-150+ more figures to get released. Maybe more. There were around 61 Platinums in 2024 (and around 120+ all together), and most of those had a common counterpart. Most figures dont have a Platinum, so only Todd knows what the complete collection will look like.

We will have a nice and fleshed out DC line when its all said and done. It already is but will be taken over the top by the end, and thats simply maddening.

I like this year two Batman better. I might grab it if I see it in the wild. I prefer the standard Deadshot so hopefully thats what I get haha.

I already received my shipping notice from MTS for all 4 figures that I ordered just an hour ago. I ordered everything that went up today except Year Two Bats. Plus they emailed me an additional $20 off coupon code to use on my next purchase. Nice!

One thing I will miss with McFarlane is that his stuff usually ships very soon after you preorder it. It's not 6+ months like with Hasbro or some mysterious date like with Mattel's preorders.

That's a weird Batman cape, but it's definitely supposed to be like that. Maybe it's off topic, (Maybe a little bit.) but if Mattel does DC will they be banned from firearms too? Or are they going to do what Todd did, make a gun package or put it on the box - NOT A TOY? (We'll see.) Then again, Deadshot should have had some sort of gun, right?

On Mcfarlane Toys Store, he has a bundle of all three listed at $101. It must be a mistake; it would be cheaper to buy all three separately.

They corrected it. It's $68.82 after discount. I applied a $20 off coupon from my Rewards points so got the trio for $64 and change after shipping. Too bad they can't do cheaper shipping like others but it's still less than $50 if you don't include it which is great.

I still can't fathom why if they wanted to do a year two figure, they'd pick black and make blue the rare variant. I guess they like the notion of 85% of the figures out there to just be the less accurate version. Fun!

It's a shame it took so long for McFarlane to really start branching out the line to be more representative of the broader DC universe rather than the "All Batman, all the time" reputation that the McMultiverse line earned from their early years (fairly or not). Over the past year or so, it feels like they've finally realized that they can do so much more with the license and it's become a lot more interesting, if still hampered by weird release approaches in terms of both consistency and regularity. Other toy industry insiders have said the contents of a line are generally heavily dictated by the license holder, but Todd has always stated he can do whatever he wants, so I wonder if the Bat-focus was mandated by DC or if it was just what he wanted to do and it's only been a recent softening of his views rather than DC trusting them more to choose their own characters?

Hes been branching out more starting in 2023 and it ramped up from there. He has around 15 months to go, so if they release as much as last year and the branching out stays consistent then its going to be even more amazing and if youre a Batman fan then youll have almost everything you would want.

Hey, no price raise, a small victory for us! (Personally I'm not pre-ordering anyone from this wave, but I'm happy for anyone who is!)
