McFarlane Toys Sneak Peeks At Monsters Series 4, MLB 11 & NBA 8

McFarlane Toys decided to throw a curve ball today and sneak out not one, not two but three sneak previews to their upcoming line of toys. First up is the second sneak preview picture to their Monsters Series 4

Hansel
Gretel's brother is in somewhat of a bind, trapped and waiting for the evil witch to fatten him up.

The second sneak preview image for today comes from the MLB 11 series.

When we debuted the photos from our MLB 11 lineup, Blue Jays fans were excited to see the Roy Halladay figure, but dismayed to see it was painted in Toronto’s black alternate jersey with a GRAY cap. Turns out that while the gray cap is correct by MLB’s official style guide for that uniform, the players hated it and only wore it for the initial media day last season. The players preferred wearing the black cap with the black uniform and that’s what they did all last season.

Our initial painted sample matched the official style guide and was approved by Major League Baseball. We followed up with them and stated our case that the figure should reflect what’s actually worn on the field, even if it doesn’t match the style guide exactly. Some of our previous Cubs figures are good examples of this, too; according to the official style guide, the Cubs don’t wear their alternate blue tops when they play on the road. Of course you and I both know that they wear them all the time and Major League Baseball has approved Cubs figures before in the blue jersey/gray pants combination. MLB has approved the paint-swap for the Halladay figure, and will let us make the MLB 11 figure in the black jersey with the black cap.

The last but not least sneak preview for today comes from the NBA 8 series and gives a look at the series but this time sealed and ready to be shipped!

NBA 8 is expected to hit stores in late February. That's it for now but I'll have more images coming up very soon!
