I don't see any sign of shipping dates which makes me wonder how the timing of this will work with the end of their DC license. Usually McFarlane doesn't even announce stuff until they're practically on the water - if these ship more than a year from now (as seems to be the norm for crowdfunders), then surely that would be beyond the scope of their license unless the charging of the crowdfunder counts as the sale date itself and fulfillment date isn't a factor for the license. Wonder if that's a sign that McFarlane really wasn't expecting to lose the DC license - would seem like his standard model to offer the BVS Batmobile as the regular retail edition and the JL version as a Gold Series exclusive... or the other way around since that approach might make too much sense ?
Really can't see many people going for Tier 4 or higher. Don't see any appeal in the metal sign or greyscale trinity figures, but then again I don't care for Artist Proofs or the like either...
From what I saw in a YouTube video it sounds like it's something like this:
Tier 1 Batmobile only $79
Tier 2 Batmobile with guns to attach $99
Tier 3 Batmobile, attachable guns, Batsignal & Batman $129
Tier 4 Batmobile, attachable guns, Batsignal/Batman, 3 grayscale figures $169
Tier 5 Batmobile, attachable guns, Batsignal/Batman, 3 grayscale figures, poster $189
Plus $20 for shipping regardless of Tier chosen.
Please forgive me if that's not all exactly right, but I think that's what I saw. I didn't write it down, so I'm going from memory and that's also assuming that the video was accurate in the first place.
If that's all accurate then I'll probably do Tier 3.
I'll check prices, but I'd only be interested in the batmobile. I'm tempted by the batsignal... but not enough.
