I have always wondered why McFarlane has ignored a comics'-based Poison Ivy action figure. She's one of Batman's top villains. They've done a movie-based & BTAS version of Poison Ivy, but that's it. The statue is OK, but I prefer a natural skin color with green tights like the character wore when introduced in the comics in 1966. Perhaps McFarlane will release a natural skin color statue in May 2026. In the meantime, I do hope McFarlane releases the comics'-based version of Poison Ivy in 7-inch form before their license expires in July 2026.

Then, for no reason at all, some artists starting giving her green skin. To me, it looks horrible (her freaking costume is green after all). She reverted back during one of the reboots (but she also lost her iconic costume, so that was a mixed bag). Now it's just random. She's often green skinned in animation (sadly) thanks to people misunderstanding that the New Batman Adventures version had green skin (she had gray skin, like 200x Evil-Lyn).
Sometimes, sourcebooks say the green skin is a result of her transforming into more of a plant. But that explanation never sticks.
Anyway, green skin ivy looks bad. Her skin is washed out by her costume and it clashes, badly, with her hair.
I love this version of Ivy (J. Scott Campbell has a nice style), but I can't buy a green version.
Anyway, sorry for the rant.
Okay so it is just artists depications for the most part, but she's a super human, whatever metahuman now I knew that, since that's the way she's shown/treated as of late, but I still remember when she was a non powered super smart radical environmentalist who had potions and a magical friendship with plants.... oh well, shes lady swamp thing now.?
but yeah I don't hate the green skin, it looks better when it's just a paler green and her suit is dark, but when it's yellowish it kinda looks a tad icky.
I mean Ive said it many times, DC stuff gets lost on me, I never was huge on DC, so I don't retain a lot of info on the ongoings.
I like Ivy with green skin, although it can depend on the shade of green (yellower greens tend to look bad, I think). She's been metahuman for a while now, instead of just some radical environmentalist ginger. I think it works, and "that explanation" has indeed stuck. It doesn't mean every artist chooses to go with green skin, but that doesn't really retcon things back. You can dislike it, JScott991, but that doesn't make your opinions any more than that. It also doesn't make your observations any more than opinion. She gets green skin often in animation because she often has green skin in the comics, and since she's usually metahuman in animation, animators make that choice. It doesn't have anything to do with TNBA.

It's good, but it's still not an action figure. That's what we'd expect from this character.
