DC COMICS SIGNS ARTIST IVAN REIS TO TWO-YEAR EXCLUSIVE
ACTION COMICS penciller Ivan Reis (Captain Marvel) has signed a two-year exclusive agreement with DC Comics.
“I almost flipped when DC approached me about the exclusive contract,” says Reis. “To me that’s real proof of faith in my work. Now I have more time and tranquility to pencil a page, and the chance to go wild with so many DC characters — characters I grew up with! One of the plusses in all this is (Group Editor) Eddie Berganza. Besides being a great guy to work with and a remarkable editor, he gives me all the freedom to create an artist could ask for, always ready to inspire me to do my best. Chuck Austen’s plots and subplots are a treat, always in the best super-hero tradition. And my efforts to make ACTION COMICS exciting wouldn’t be possible without Marc Campos’s inks. I also have to mention Guy Major’s colors! In a nutshell, I couldn’t be happier to work with such a… um… SUPER crew!”

Issues of ACTION COMICS, written by Chuck Austen with art by Ivan Reis & Marc Campos, are available as follows:
• ACTION COMICS #814 (FEB040239) is in stores now and available for reorder.
• ACTION COMICS #815 (MAR040291) is available for advance reorder and is scheduled to arrive in stores on May 12.
• ACTION COMICS #816 (APR040289) is solicited in the April issue of Previews (Volume XIV #4) and is scheduled to arrive in stores on June 9.
BATMAN: CYBER REVOLUTION POSTPONED
To clarify the item from last week’s DIRECT CHANNEL, all issues of the miniseries BATMAN: CYBER REVOLUTION (issue #1: MAR040282, issue #2: APR040278, issue #3: MAY040266) have been postponed. All orders are cancelled. These issues will be resolicited at a later date.
