Artist Patrick Gleason, who's making waves with his work on everyone's favorite submersible series AQUAMAN, has signed a 2-year exclusive agreement with DC Comics. You also may recall Gleason's work from the Special JLA: WELCOME TO THE WORKING WEEK and one Power Girl-a-riffic issue of JSA.
"Being a part of DC is like being a part of history," says Gleason. "I'm so honored that they want me among their ranks. It has been my absolute privilege to work with the best writers, editors and behind-the-scenes crews there. [Senior Editor] Pete Tomasi is one of those people. Without him, I wouldn't be in this position. He's always been a stand-up editor and true to his word. I'll be proud to continue to work for him and DC Comics."
"Patrick breathes energy, passion and detail into each page, and it's been a true pleasure watching him hone his craft over the past few years," says Tomasi. "It also doesn't hurt that he's a consumate pro and a pleasure to work with. AQUAMAN has never looked better, and we've got plans for Patrick that will put his work into even more readers' hands."
