We first told you about
Palisades Toy's upcoming new line of Sesame Street figures a few
days ago. Now we bring you a detailed look at the first figure to be released in this line,
Super Grover. This figure will feature interchangeable heads (Super Grover and Grover Kent), a cloth cape and trench coat, and a phone booth. Grover will debut at Wizard World Los Angles as Palisades’ 2005 “Tour” Figure.
Palisades will then release a whole wave of Sesame Street figures that will include
Ernie, Oscar the Grouch, Guy Smiley and the Two-Headed Monster. These figures will match up well with Palisades other popular line, The Muppets.
There will be two different versions of each figure in series 1. One version will have a lower retail price that will be released through the mass market and have a few accessories. The second version will be released through the specialty market and have a slightly higher price point. These figures will come with the acessories and also include elements of Sesame Street. Once you have all the figures in the series you will be able to build a large-scale diorama re-creating the famous Street where everyone comes to play. Look for these figures to be released in 2005 alongside a new series of Muppets figures.
