Uberbot, the first designer toy store in the Southeastern U.S., treated Central Florida to its first designer toy show, Ghosts in the Machine on October 15, 2005. Keeley Carrigan of Bloo Empire and Taiwanese artist Nakanari were welcomed by over 1,000 eager attendees. Not only did the gallery show feature original one-of-a-kind artwork by these talented men, but both artists also performed custom figure sketches tirelessly for the entire opening night.
Ranging from paintings to plush to hand-painted vinyl figures, many of the pieces will be held over until November in the Uberbot Gallery extending the opportunity for fans and those that are just discovering urban vinyl to procure original artwork. The excitement and energy being generated by word of mouth proves Florida is hungry for more vinyl art and Überbot will be serving it up with style and fun as more Gallery shows and unique events are planned for the coming months.
