August 14, 2006
Guillermo Del Toro who is directing Hellboy II from Universal Pictures told the Latino Review in a recent interview that shooting for the film won't begin till April or May of 2007, but that there was alot of things to be done between now and then. They will be shooting in Budapest, Hungary and London. preproduction and post-production will also be done in London. Del Toro also states that Hellboy, Abe Sapien and Liz Sherman are back for this one, and we can expect to see a prince and princess from the fantasy world which alot of this story centers around.

Del Toro goes on to explain that the story will be "sort of the magical world declaring war on the human world. The first one was dealing with a much more urban environment, and the second one is more in a mythical type of environment, more magical. So hopefully it's closer to some of the aspects of the comic book that we couldn't portray in the first one."
