Tom Hanks wants to be Optimus Prime

The IESB site caught up with Oscar Winner Tom Hanks to see if there's any truth to the rumours that he'll be starring in the forthcoming "Transformers" movie.

After singing the site a little bit of the theme music (watch that here), the "Terminal" star said he hasn't heard of those rumours, and whilst he finds them amusing, said he'd consider the film if he got to play Optimus Prime. Again, we presume he's joking. The actor did say though that he's totally behind such a project - being a self-confessed fan of the "Transformers" toons and toys himself apparently.

The same site also had some more rumour debunking to do. David Keith's name has been branded about as a possible 'Jonathan Kent' in the "Superman" movie, but the "Daredevil" actor told the site he knows nothing about it.
