New Line Cinema has started principal photography for the Untitled Texas Chainsaw Massacre Prequel, previously subtitled "The Beginning".
Darkness Falls helmer Jonathan Liebesman has began shooting in Austin, Texas this week. The film was written by David J. Schow and Sheldon Turner. Platinum Dunes is once again producing.
The new film, opening October 6, 2006, stars Jordana Brewster, Andrew Bryniarski, R. Lee Emery, Taylor Handley, Matthew Bomer, Diora Baird and Heather Kafka.
