Universal Pictures has launched the final trailer for triple Academy Award winner Peter Jackson's King Kong, hitting theaters on December 14. You can watch the trailer in High Definition QuickTime and in regular QuickTime formats! The trailer will also precede screenings of Universal's Jarhead, opening in theaters on Friday.

The highly-anticipated, 3-hour action-adventure stars Naomi Watts, Adrien Brody, Jack Black, Andy Serkis, Colin Hanks and Jamie Bell. It is the story of the gigantic ape captured in the wild and brought to civilization where he meets his tragic fate.

Jackson re-teamed with longtime collaborators Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens, co-writing the screenplay with three-time Oscar-winning partner Walsh and their "The Lord of the Rings" co-writer, Academy Award winner Boyens. Weta Digital created the visual effects.
