Reuters & Yahoo News are reporting that Noah Wyle will be leaving the hit U.S. television program "ER" after this season.

Noah Wyle is checking out of the emergency room after 11 seasons playing Dr. John Carter on the hit U.S. television program "ER," a spokesman for the actor said on Thursday.

Wyle, 33, is the last member of the original cast who has stayed with the hospital drama for all of its 11 years. The season finale on May 19 will be his last appearance as a regular cast member, although he plans to return for four episodes next season, starting in the fall.

Carter will reunite in Paris in early May with his love Kem, portrayed by Thandie Newton, then return to Chicago's Country General Hospital to say his final goodbyes.
