This past week a pre-order listing began popping up on various
overseas retail sites for what appears to be a new
Masters of the Universe Origins Rulers Of The Sun 3-Pack coming from
Mattel. No word yet on what the exact figures in this set will be.
Currently Mattel has released images for 5 different
Sun-Man based Origins figures. The original
Sun-Man that is already hitting shelves now along with
Digitino, Space Sumo, Pig-Head and a
second Sun-Man with alternate flat-top headsculpt.
Now
previously we told you that
Pig-Head should be released on a single card in the next wave of Origins and
Digitino in the wave following that one. That sill leaves
Space Sumo and the second version of
Sun-Man that we have no idea how, when or where they will be released. Of course
Mattel could also re-release any of the ones we know are coming on single cards in this 3-packl or there could be more figures coming that have yet to be shown.
I did some checking with a few US based retailers and they have not yet gotten any word about this 3-pack. That doesn't necessarily mean anything, but it could be an indication that this set will only be released overseas or more likely will be released as some kind of store exclusive here in the US. When more details become available we will be sure to let you know.
