Hasbro Pulse-Con Ghostbusters Panel - Plasma Series Ecto-1 Revealed

by Jay Cochran
September 26, 2020
The Hasbro Ghostbusters panel from Pulse-Con has begun. You can check it out below and we will be updating with highlights and images IF any new action figure reveals are made today.

They start off by talking about the Plasma Tully PulseCon exclusive and take a poll on people's Tully moment.

Now they are doing a Q&A with actor Ernie Hudson.

Now they are interviewing designer Mark Boudreaux about what it was like to work on the original Ghostbusters animated series figures from Kenner.

Now they are talking with Kenner sculptor Dave Vennemeye.

Now they have brought in the entire Hasbro design team to talk about recreating the Kenner Retro Ghostbusters line.

Kenner reveal Nerf Ghostpopper was revealed. Will be available for pre-order at Walmart at 5pm ET.

Now they have Jason Reitman who announced a Plasma Series Ecto-1 will be exclusive to Target. Goes up for pre-order at 5pm ET. This is based on the new movie coming out so it looks older. Also doesn't look like it's in scale with 6" figures but hard to say for sure.

Panel ends.

It's not a tactical vest, per se, so much as it's an EOD (explosive ordinance disposal) vest, and those tend to be pretty bulky, for what I think are fairly obvious reasons. This isn't a great picture here, but you can see how big they look on some Russian bomb squad members:

Hmm fair enough, and cheers to facts, I still hope it's removable, even though as you have noted it seems accurate in size.

I just realized how much I dislike that Wonky Tactical vest on Firefly, I really hope that's removable, because it looks like its 2 sizes to big for him.

I guess we will have to find out once people get these figures in hand. I also just noticed that the Cobra Trooper/Infantry that's being released, is in fact different from the Cobra Island version it has a Blue Vest, I think I actually like the new Blue Vest better.

Seems like all of the US Residents are having *cough cough* fun as usual trying to get hands on these new Joe figures, I am still attempting to track down the Cobra Island exclusives to no luck here, I am really bothered by how quickly all of these fly off the shelves, but it's nice to now know that a new Cobra Trooper is coming out in an actual wave, so I think I'm going to sweat less trying to get the exclusive so I guess it's just going to be me finding Beach Head, and maybe Baroness (but I hope she gets a single release, I might just play the long game on that one), it really sucks that more Exclusives are coming out and the same problems are happening. I will continue to cherry pick the Joe's as it makes it less annoying then being a completest.

So only two figures for wave three and their both cobras. Where are the Joe's.

The more Cobras ? the better... That fist wave was more Joe's anyways...

Rumors have indicated there will be a Lady Jaye offered as well. The wave isn't due out until next year so they will likely show the rest of the wave between now and then.

Cool. I figured that must be the case since I didnt see it but with so many items only on certain sites, or Items there and then gone its hard to keep track.

Tell me about it.
