2025 SDCC Exclusive G.I. Joe Classified The Springfield Theater Cold Slither Boxset Detailed Look

June 5, 2025
Yesterday during Hasbro's YoJoe June Fanstream they gave us a good look at this years San Diego Coming Con exclusive G.I. Joe Classified The Springfield Theater Cold Slither Boxset. The set features Zartan, Torch, Ripper and Buzzer based on their appearance in the 80's Sunbow cartoon episode titled "Cold Slither". In the episode Cobra Commander "packages" Zartan and the Dreadnoks as a heavy metal band called "Cold Slither" and turns them loose as Pied Pipers on America's youth.

Each figure in the set features a musical instrument including Buzzer who has a full drum kit with stool and foot pedal. Torch includes a keytar which actually wasn't featured in the cartoon.

The figures come packaged in a box made to look like the "Spingfield Theater" which looks to have had other famous bands perform there like Jem And The Holograms and The Average Joes.

Hasbro has not yet released pricing information for the set but it will be sold at their SDCC booth with a limited number of quantities available sometime after the show on their HasbroPulse website. SDCC takes place July 24-27 this year.

Check out detailed images below in our GALLERY of the figures and their accessories below along with the packaging.

They really hyped Cold Slither a ton to have only had a few of the sets available for sale.

On July 24, 2025, metal band Cold Slither made an explosive on-stage debut during San Diego Comic-Con at Brick By Brick, San Diegos home for heavy music. The band made a jaw-dropping impression among patrons with their cinematic riffs and raw energy forged from chaos, rebellion, and heavy metal fury. Towards the end of the night, and to the gasping surprise of attendees, original JEM singing voice (Britta Phillips), the lead singer of JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMS joined the stage to add even more musical mayhem! The one-night-only performance saw Cold Slither playing tracks from their full length self-titled album Cold Slither, now streaming on all major platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. Physical releases, including vinyl, are now available via Reigning Phoenix Music, select retailers like Amazon, Amoeba, and indie record stores. Attendees on-site at San Diego Comic-Con also had the opportunity to purchase convention exclusive album variants Zartan Chameleon Blue and Blood Moon Red available only at the Hasbro (booth #3213) and Reigning Phoenix Music (booth #4029) booths respectively.

Cold Slithers Cobra-fueled debut album follows the success of multiple singles, including Cold Slither, Knock Em Dread, Thunder Machine, and Zartans Revenge, the latter of which received a new music video treatment.WHO: Cold Slithers current lineup includes members Zartan (Gus Rios), Ripper (Matt Havey), Torch (Ross Sewage), and Buzzer (Andy Selway).Order or listen to the album now: HereWatch the new music video for latest single Zartans Revenge: Here

I think it's entirely possible that Pulse might be doing daily allotments, ie selling a limited number each day. If you really want the Cold Slither set, keep checking over the next several days. Once A Man Cobra Commander went up again and again over several days. Serpentor, too, IIRC. There is always August 1st, too. They might do a "made to order" type thing on that day like they seemed to do with Mindbender.

I would personally be happy for them to do a "made to order" run for every SDCC exclusive. Have the in-stock one be limited quantities that the scalpers and those that just can't wait can scrap over and let the rest of us just preorder for a while down the track...

But that's probably way too sensible an option to ever be taken up!

I'm confident this set will be more available than being up for just 1 minute on day one.

I don't have anything at stake here (I had no interest), but no Joe item since CI Cobra Troopers has really been this scarce (and they reissued those several times).

Yes for Pulse Premium Members and if any left then again on August 1st for everyone.

No details for Savage Land or Anakin vs Ob-wan yet.

It sold out in sec man. I had the set in my cart and when I was about to pay, it showed as no longer available...??

They're really pushing the artificial scarcity angle for when those "regular" pre-orders go live.

Outsiders - 2025-07-24 @ 4:29 pm

Damn Hasbro, thisAge Verification pop-up is annoying as hell...

PadreCocinero - 2025-07-24 @ 4:22 pm

Yep, tried to purchase one Cold Slither as a Premium member and it was already sold out at 11:03 a.m. Sigh.

Outsiders - 2025-07-24 @ 4:22 pm

The problem with Hasbri Pulse is that there are ways to get around the two-limit purchase.

I'm just ticked because I was able to grab two, pay with PayPal, and once it was completed, Hasbro informed me that it was sold out. I completed the payment, so Hasbro owes me.
