2009 SDCC Wrap-Up: G.I.Joe

As we start to wrap-up this year's 2009 Comic-Con coverage, we have uploaded some new images from the Hasbro booth for G.I.Joe: Rise of Cobra products. You can check those out below in our GALLERY.

Here also is a video where we had a chance to briefly talk with Hasbro's G.I.Joe Marketing Brand Manager Neil Hoffman who walked us through some of the products that were on display at the booth.



Some other interesting tid-bits of information we learned during the con is that Hasbro plans to continue the Target exclusive line of "Past & Present" products in 2010 which will start with the Polar Battle Bear/Rockslide ATAV w/Snow Job. However the plan is after this initial release with the vehicle, they plan to do just do figures going forward with this series. We can expect such characters as Destro to make the line-up and these figures based on the past versions will have the classic o-ring design.

Another cool line collectors can look foward to is the wave of Wal-Mart exclusive battle station sets which are very reminiscent of the classic 'Real American Hero' ones released back in the 80's. The initial wave of these will include:

- Outpost Defender w/Roadblock &Tripwire
- Cobra Surveillance Port w/M.A.R.S. Trooper
- Cobra Heatseek Missle w/Scrap-Iron & Neo Viper
- Laser Artillery Weapon w/Hawk and Hit & Run
