I'm not sure about the whiskers thing. I will say at least they're sticking with it. It's just not profane enough for me I think.
I really liked this episode. I thought The Drifter was a great character. The only thing I didn't like was the end when Lion-O returned to the other Thundercats. It was way too similar to 200X He-Man where Adam was always getting belittled for disappearing while everyone else stayed to fight. It's fine if he doesn't divulge what's happened to him, but for the other characters to act so high and mighty is extremely annoying and not very hero-ish.
Judging from the pace they are really trying to build character development. I hope the show lasts long enough for us to see it fulfilled. I wonder if then will it become boring?
I hope it lasts, too. I'd like to see it progress to a point where Lion-O is an adult and actually drawn as such (resulting in a similar look to the original Lion-O). An age progression for all the characters would be nice, like Avatar: The Last Airbender. It adds to the epicness of it all.
I want to learn more about the dude with the big sword.
I wonder since the Drifter is going to return the swords to their owners, it may have some bad results. I imagine some of them are bad or jerks.
This was an interesting story, although anti climactic from last weeks episode. It was a character driven story, with Lion O realizing that you can't run into every fight head first. It taught him a little bit about humility and patience. That the King is more than the title, it's an attitude of leadership. One that doesn't come automatically. It needs to be learned over time. Someone needs to be conditioned for the calling.
They seem to have a pattern going on. One episode there is a story involving Mum-Ra and this episode moves the story forward. The next episode introduces new characters and teaches Lion-O a lesson. Hopefully the new characters and lesson will have an impact on the Mum-Ra episodes eventually and maybe they will not have to be separate episodes. It's nice not seeing a failed plot by Mum-Ra every episode. So often Villains (Cobra Commander, Skeletor, etc) are so inept becuase every episode they try to take over the world and fail.
When doesn't Lion O need to learn a lesson. He is pretty annoying but I enjoyed the show. Even on off episodes like this they have a maturity that I enjoy. Judging from the pace they are really trying to build character development. I hope the show lasts long enough for us to see it fulfilled. I wonder if then will it become boring?
I thought it was a good episode..Lion-O needed to learn a lesson
The way the drifter kept popping up reminded me of the cat from Alice in Wonderland.
It was a pretty good story, I always like their flashbacks they always give good backstory.
I like how LionO says whiskers once an episode haha
