I know, I already lost count how many enemies Superman will fight in this movie: the giant Kaiju, Ultraman, the Engineer, the Justice League, the Hammer of Boravia, Methamorpho, now we have to add that Wampa looking creature.
I wonder why the Hammer of Boravia has a couple of axes as accessories instead of, you know, hammers.

Having looked at the reviews of these 6 inch figures, I feel like I may try to pick them up, if only to be placeholders for subsequent Mattel lines that will (fingers crossed) be in a similar scale but improve on the sculpt/paint/articulation. They're cheaper for sure and look it, but I have more faith that they'll cover all the major characters than I do that McFarlane will. Plus that likeness for Guy Gardner makes him look more like Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner than any of the promo shots have - i think Spin Master actually got the haircut right!
Do we really NEED another Superman origin story? I think we all know already. I'm fine with flashbacks and such, but come on...we ALL know Superman's origin...we ALL know Batman's origin. I think Gunn is just trying to get on with it...I'm not excited, but I'm definitely giving it a chance.
These have me even more interested in this film. Which is what they should do at this point. And the prices are pretty good.

It's a big disappointment to me that the most recent trailer reveals that Lois Lane knows who Superman is in this first film. That Clark Kent / Superman reveal is the highlight of well-made Superman media and they seem to be rushing it.
Rachel Brosnahan has a chance to be the best non-animated Lois by far, but I'm not excited for the movie despite this.

that is a huge deviation from all their previous 3.75 inch movie figures (Aquaman, Blue Beetle, Black Adam, Batman & the Flash)
It's a bummer tbh. So basically the same size as the original Page Punchers, but no real supporting toylines and the lack of elbow joint is a letdown for me.
