Hiya Toys proposed Star Trek 4-inch figures look very good, however, as an old school fan, Ill wait to see if they ever offer Original Series character versions. Starting the line primarily with the re-booted movie versions of the characters comes with the risk of whether it will live long and prosper for collectors to ever see future waves of other Star Trek shows. By comparisons: 1) Playmates redundant revamp of its 5-inch figures with a mix of characters from 3 different shows, seems to have evaporated; 2) McFarlanes 7-inch attempt died after only 2 figures; 3) Art Asylum & Diamonds 7-inch lines ended with waning general consumer interest and many collectors were left with incomplete crews. The problem for companies tackling Trek may stem from where to start? Time it and base it on a current show/movie? What scale? Personally, I would love to see a new 6-inch line (never before done for Trek) starting off with the more recognizable Original Series characters and present it akin to Star Wars Black Series where it could eventually grow to include a universe of Trek characters.
