It's
Wednesday and you know what that means:
ToyFarce review!
This week, we're having a look at the
One:12 Collective DC Comics The Joker (Golden Age Edition) from
Mezco Toyz! Inspired by the art from the
Golden Age era and the
1950's (especially
Dick Sprang, whose art is all over the packaging), this
Joker figure looks pretty great, even if it's a bit short on accessories.
That suit, though!

The
Golden Age Edition of the
Joker comes with
3 heads with
interchangeable hair,
5 pairs of hands (
including a hand with a buzzer or a hand holding a Joker card), a
hat, a
Gotham City Police badge with
spewing acid effect, a
Joker utility belt with a
buckle and a
spring buckle and a
newspaper, along with the usual
Mezco Toyz stand.

With 3 heads, interchangeable hair and a hat, it gives
a lot of possibilities for his look for your display (
12, or 15 if you decide to display him without anything, but that would be a bit weird). The
head sculpts look great. The tailoring on the
suit is, as usual, very good. The
long coat is even wired. It's a rather minimal set though, not a lot of accessories. We're used to
Mezco figures that come with a lot of stuff, but this one was on the '
cheaper' side (
"only" $90.00), so I guess we don't get a lot. One of the accessories is even
questionable and I had to restrain myself not to do anything weird with it (
looking at you, 'spring buckle'!). The accessories that are attached to the hands are nice too, because then you're sure not to lose them or struggle to put them in the hands correctly.
