original story, same universe. its why batman isnt in the game.

also, putting quotes but not stating who youre quoting is just you quoting yourself.

You can read it herehttps://comicbook.com/gaming/news/gotham-knights-why-its-not-set-arkham-universe/

Having a Red Hood without guns feels weird but at least the lightsabers are cool.

Thats really odd

Some people are saying its a Japanese law for action figures to not show guns and then theres this theory that its WB's restrictions?

Wonder which this is?

It's absolutely not some Japanese law, there's still plenty of other Japanese figures of non-DC properties that have guns (realistic and non-realistic). It's just a weird WB restriction on DC merch. A recent rare interview with Mez Markowitz of Mezco Toys from like back in the beginning of May corroborates it, he talked about the rule.

how is it late when the next arkham game comes out at the same time as this and has red hood as the main playable character?

That game is not in the same universe DespiteWB Games Montral's previous work developingBatman: Arkham Originsand the fact thatGotham Knightsfeatures many of the same characters from theBatman: Arkhamseries, the new game is an original story separate from those games. Only real in canon game is suicide squad vs justice league and even that is not exactly 100% canonical. And even if it was it would be more appropriate to do the costume new game has.

It is like 4 years late at least, would make more sense to release either version ofArkham Batman and comics Red Hood.
