The CW Details 'Arrow' Spin-Off Episode 'Green Arrow & The Canaries'

The CW released the synopsis for the upcoming female-centric Arrow spinoff featuring the new Green Arrow Mia Smoak (Katherine McNamara), as well as the two Canaries (Katie Cassidy and Juliana Harkavy), Laurel Lance and Dinah Drake. The Arrow episode will be the backdoor pilot installment and will air Tuesday, January 21st at 8:00/7:00 Central.

It's the year 2040 in Star City and Mia Queen (Katherine McNamara) has everything she could have ever wanted. However, when Laurel (Katie Cassidy) and Dinah (Juliana Harkavy) suddenly show up in her life again, things take a shocking turn and her perfect world is upended. Laurel and Dinah are tracking a kidnapping victim with direct ties to Mia and they need her help. Knowing it will change everything, Mia can't help but be a hero and she, Laurel and Dinah suit up once again to save the city.

Tara Miele directed the episode written by Beth Schwartz & Marc Guggenheim & Jill Blankenship & Oscar Balderrama (#809).

So.., since it's in 2040, Green Arrow Beyond?

Also, since it seems like 2 Carney's from actors who apparently have played them in this Arrowverse, is it due to time travel or alternation dimension thanks to Legends Of Tomorrow? I suppose we don't really know right now since we still have to wait for the last half of the Crisis event to air.

For the record, I've not really watched any of these Arrorverse shows, except for maybe at least 2 episodes of Supergirl, so my knowledge is limited.

I am sure that this will suck. Like Supergirl and Batwoman that so far is a tiny bit better that SG, mas still awful. Ruby Rose can't act.

Ah! Another superhero TV series from the man who ruined superhero TV series.'

Still, maybe we'll get lucky and this one will be more Batwoman than Supergirl.
