Yeah sure, I mean like I said, it's fun visually, it's got cool things to look at, that's what it has going for it, Jason Mamoa is tired, he's just a lumbering himbo the story isn't really anything new or clever, the jokes generally suck, it's a DCEU movie...you can only expect so much.

but I enjoyed it a lot, from the perspective of looking at some super exciting visuals.

plus Orm and Black Manta are cool and fun here, Orm being the stupid off worlder, but seeing him build his character, and Black Manta is just mean and badass.

Well I do like me some black manta. So it should be worth a watch just for that then.

Just saw it, and well I loved it, mainly for the awesome worlds and creatures, it was a spectacular thing to see, really fantastic visuals, there was some pretty cringey elements, the humour mostly was dumb from Aquaman, but Ocean Master was excellent, Black Manta was as well, the whole overall composition of this film was a grand spectacle that was amazing to see, such cool stuff to behold, and the story moved well, I loved it, I left very happy, as someone who likes to watch movies, this was a movie to watch, I honestly think this won't be so good on the small screen this benefited from being big screen 3D, if it was just a movie and not a DC or Aquaman film, this would just be a good movie to watch.

*drops mic*

thanks for what you tried to do DC Cinematic universe, I was there the whole time, what a fun bow out.

I guess on to the next.

According to Deadline, Warner Bros/DC's Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom only grossed $4.5M last night at 3,400 locations. The film's performance can be affected by negative reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, with a rating of 36%.

The projected earnings for Aquaman 2 over four days are estimated to be around $40M, give or take. Comparatively, the previews for Aquaman 2 are lower than those of Disney/Marvel Studios' disappointing film, The Marvels, which earned $6.6M before a 3-day total of $46.1M, marking the lowest opening for a Marvel movie.

Aquaman 2's previews surpass those of DC's previous disappointment, Shazam: Fury of the Gods, which earned $3.4M on Thursday night, $11.7M on Friday, and had a 3-day total of $30.1M. In contrast, DC's The Flash appears to be a major success, with $9.7M in previews, $24.1M on Friday, and a projected 3-day total of $55M.

Lord_Scareglow - 2023-12-03 @ 5:14 pm

I will watch this, the first one was pretty fun, but I keep forgetting this is coming out, until I see things like this, it just seems so sad that this has no stakes, since they are wiping the slate after this and the DC Cinematic Universe as it was is dead, so this movie almost seems pointless, but I like watching movies, and like seeing good fun so hopefully this doesn't disappoint, but I'm ready to just cleanse my soul of this DC Universe and move on.
