Warner Bros. Home Entertainment just revealed they're dropping Watchmen: Chapter II on 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray in 2024. You can expect both versions to hit the shelves on December 3.
Chapter II: Outlawed superheroes grapple with their personal lives and each other while racing the clock to solve a deepening mystery connected to an impending nuclear war between the United States and Russia.
The animated film wraps up the loyal adaptation of the iconic graphic novel series by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, which changed the superhero game when it first came out in the mid-1980s.
Watchmen Chapter II boasts an incredible voice cast featuring Matthew Rhys as Dan Dreiberg (Nite Owl), Katee Sackhoff as Laurie Juspeczyk (Silk Spectre), and Titus Welliver as Rorschach (Walter Kovacs). Holy smokes that animation looks like absolute trash.
I still love The Watchmen. As a big comic guy this is still my favorite story of all time. I've re-read this graphic novel from my collection more times than any other one that I own. No on screen adaptation has ever done it justice or likely ever will, but I'll certainly still be watching this when it comes out next month.
