by Jay Cochran
July 14, 2018
For Mattel's 6" DC Multiverse line they will be releasing a 3-pack featuring figures of classic Aquaman, Black Manta and Ocean Master as a San Diego Comic Con exclusive. The packaging will be done to recreate the classic comic book cover from the 1968 Aquaman #35. The set will cost $60 and feature Aquaman in his classic scaled orange and green suit, Ocean Master with his signature cape, mask and a spear weapon, and Black Manta who comes with three interchangeable friction-fit eyepieces, a backpack and a harpoon.

Check out our GALLERY of in-hand images below and check back to TNI soon for an in-depth review of the set. This set was provided by the folks at Mattel free of charge for purposes of review.

I have not liked Mattel's DC line for years since the Classics line ended, but this boxed set looks AMAZING!!! Nice work Mattel! Keep it up.

I mentioned this on Youtube, but I love how Aquaman kind of looks a little like Buster Crabbe, in the head sculpt.

Wow. First I thought this would be kinda weak being Mattel and all. But actually looks very cool. Just wondering why Aquaman doesn't have his trident. Comes with lots of interchangeable hands and Black Manta is the best thing of this set. These interchangeable eye pieces are the coolest thing! To me his weapon is unnecessary.

Definitely worth picking up. Too bad it's only available at SDCC.

All three figures are pretty solid, but I really like this Black Manta figure and the eyes.
