I'm not a fan of this new cartoon but these don't look too bad. I still prefer the Revoltech TMNT 2012 figures I have for sure.
I haventcared a whole lot for the looks of the Turtles in the new show, via the teasers and artwork... And, while theyll never be a preferred look for them, to me as toys, I dont think theyre the worst thing ever, either. It reminds me of all of those genrespecific, alternate figure takes on the TMNT of old. From Trekkie Turtles, to superheroes, to samurai, to sports specific costumes. (Although, Raph seems maybe a bit too big). But, these seem to me to be heavily inspired by the more recent Michael Bay produced movie versions of the classic team. And actually, I will say, that I think its kinda cool that theyve given each of the Turtles a design that seems to reference different species of turtle and/ortortoise. Though, Id not be familiar with them all, by name. All told, theyre not bad looking toys. I hope kids really take to and enjoy em.
