HBO decided not to have a Watchmen panel this year at the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con, but they do still have an official Comic-Con trailer.
From Damon Lindelof and set in an alternate history where masked vigilantes are treated as outlaws, this drama series embraces the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel of the same name while attempting to break new ground of its own.
The ten-episode mystery-thriller series that's set to premiere in October, will take some creative liberties to tell an original story and will feature new superhero and vigilante characters. Featuring an original score by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.
The cast includes Regina King, Jeremy Irons, Don Johnson, Jean Smart, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Hong Chau, Andrew Howard, Tom Mison, Frances Fisher, Jacob Ming-Trent, Sara Vickers, Dylan Schombing, James Wolk, Dustin Ingram, Lily Rose Smith and Adelynn Spoon.
Kind of disappointing. I'm still gonna watch it, I love Watchmen, but this trailer doesn't do a lot for me. The show looks a little boring too. It has a made for tv feel that a lot of tv shows try not to have. I'd love to be proven wrong though.
