iconic duo (and a more frustrating one for collectors). I'll wait.
In a few days,
NECA and
Target will start their new event, the '
HAUL-A-THON', which is described on their website as "
a four-week one-of-a-kind collaboration which kicks off on March 18th and will be available at Target and Target.com within the US and internationally at Haulathon.com". (Thanks for thinking about the international community!)
The event, supposed to start on
March 18th, has already had a couple of leaks, with some already
being put out on shelves early before the event starts (
How does this keep happening? We will investigate on that for a future article...).
Missouri and
Maine were among the first states to have
full end cap display ready, complete with '
HAUL-A-THON' tote bags and all. There are also indications there will be
randomly released autograph chase figures put out during this event that will cost
$99 each. These chase figures look like will span several different brands such as
Gremlins and
TMNT. (
Yes, there will be Howie Mandel signed Gizmo figures!)
ToyFarce received an anonymous tip from a member of the
S.C.A.L.P., in the form of a notification that was sent to all
scalpers, telling them to start to
train and
get in shape, in order to be able to
run to as many Targets as they can and
empty all the shelves, so that they can resell them at scalper prices. Internally, they are calling the
'HAUL-A**-THON', since they will have to hurry. Clever... More info as things develop.
