It finally happened! The long awaited
Mezco One:12 Collective Batman - 1989 edition figure is out! Collectors have been starting to receive it and post pictures all over the internet (
ToyFarce will have a review ready as soon as it arrives). The figure,
3 years in the making, didn't arrive without its share of issues, as some collectors reported problems with the articulation, or a powder coating on the figure. Thankfully,
Mezco quickly released some
instructions online... but sadly, it was a little too late for one collector...

"
At first, there was a significant amount of dissolving..." explained Kevin, a long time
Mezco fan. "
When I got the figure, it had some suspicious powder on it, so I tried to wipe it off with a paper towel. The paper towel started to break down on the rubber of the figure and leave pieces of it everywhere, so then I decided to use window cleaning product to clean the figure. If it can clean windows, it can clean my figure, right? Well, no. After I sprayed a copious amount of it on the figure, i noticed the rubber started to melt a little, and it would rub off if i wiped it more, leaving black goo on my paper towel, so I sprayed some Easy-Off, the oven cleaner, because if it can clean an oven, it can clean my figure, right? Well...no. The rubber started bubbling and dissolving in front of my eyes. Now I have a metal skeleton with Batman's head, gloves and boots. I would not advise to use Easy-Off on your figure."

What are you? - I'm the articulated metal armature that used to be Batman."
