ToyFarce investigated...

It never fails! A couple of months ago, I started a custom figure of Angel from the X-Men, in his red and white suit... I found the parts, the perfect wings, everything. It took me a couple of months to finish it, but I was pretty happy with the result... And then Hasbro announced a way better one the same day."

More recently, I finished a 'Patch' version of Wolverine. I bought the Indiana Jones Club Obi Wan figure to use his white suit, painted his shirt white, then switched his hands and head with Wolverine parts, painted an eye patch... It looked pretty nice. I put it on my shelf, and started the Marvel Legends Fanstream, only to see that figure announced in a two-pack with a 'Joe Fixit' Hulk. WHYYYY?"
Basically, if you want an action figure of a character made,
just start making a custom action figure of it!
