It's Wednesday and you know what that means... ToyFarce review!

This week, we're having a look at the latest figures from the TMNT x Universal Monsters line, Leonardo as the Creature from the Black Lagoon and Raphael as Wolf Man! 2 more home-runs for that fantastic line, NECA keeps killing it with those mash-ups!

Leonardo as the Creature from the Black Lagoon looks awesome, with tons of fun 'fish-related' details and accessories. Leo comes with 4 extra hands, 2 harpoon katanas (one has a fish on it!), an attachable wrist bone blade, and a pet turtle. The sculpt and paint on that figure are amazing. I loved the Creature from the Black Lagoon figure from the 'normal' Universal Monsters line, but this is even better. There are also additional tiny hooks and bits (thingamabobs, if you will) to attach to the net that is around its shell (which has fish skeletons all over it).

Raphael as Wolf Man (I keep wanting to write 'the Wolf Man' but the box says 'Wolf Man') is also a fun figure. Raph comes with an extra head sculpt, 4 extra hands, his sais which are made out of a bone, and parts of the wolf head cane (great idea!), and an animal trap. Out of all the figures from that line, I thought this one felt a bit 'simple', with not a lot to offer in terms of design, but I'm glad i was wrong. The figure looks awesome, both head sculpts are nice and the details of the torn clothes over the shell are great. Also, we finally get an answer to the very important question: Does hair grow on a turtle shell?

Those 2 figures have been the last to come out, and the last ones announced, so right now, we do not know if the line will continue or not. Hopefully, we get a few more (the rule of 4, we need all 4 turtles in that second 'wave', plus we didn't get a vampire yet!) but if it's over, well, it was a hell of a ride.

I agree! It's a fun ride with all the tiny details and bits of care. Great review of a must have line!

These are awsome. The detail is crazy and the accessories are wild too. Neca does such a great job with thier stuff.

I picked up Leo, passed on the Raph. Since I already have all four Turtles in a monster form, NECA has to work a little extra hard in order to tempt me into doubling up on characters. The Leo made the cut, the Raph not so much. At this point I'm really just waiting to see what (if anything) they do with Shredder or Krang (or really any other characters they haven't touched with this line yet).
