It's
Wednesday and you know what that means:
ToyFarce review!
This week, we're having a look at the second and fourth wave of
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1/18 scale figures from
Joy Toy! Wave 2 included
Bebop and
Rocksteady, and wave 4 had
April O'Neil and
Splinter.
Joy Toy continues to add great characters to that line, which are tiny but packed with details.
The
Joy Toy TMNT line is 1/18th scale, a bit over 4" and the sculpting and paint are amazing. The figures do not represent any specific version,
Joy Toy gave them their own spin and they look pretty awesome. The packaging of those figures, a tiny square box, is also really nice. Last time, we reviewed the
first and
third wave of those
Joy Toy TMNT figures (
review here), as a lot of retailers ended up getting wave 3 before wave 2, but here they are here now and they were totally worth the wait.
Bebop and
Rocksteady are '
bigger' figures with tons of details and look awesome.
Bebop (
or Beebop, as it is written on the packaging) comes with
3 extra pairs of hands,
guns, a
double neck guitar, a
steel pipe, a
trashcan cover-shield, a
stand and a
diorama base, and
Rocksteady comes with
2 extra hands, a
rifle, a
knife, a
manhole cover-shield, a
boombox that turns into a
rocket launcher, a
stand and a
diorama base.
They're bulky but still have a good amount of articulation. Both their jaws are articulated. They're just cool tiny, yet bulky representations of those characters, and a nice addition to the line. Very fun in hand!

Wave 4 showed up at around the same time as
wave 2, so I waited for them to show up to post this.
April comes with an
extra head,
5 extra hands, a
camera, a
microphone, a
video recorder, a
communicator, a
pair of boxing gloves,
2 mousers, a
stand and a
diorama base. She looks very good, it's nice to see her in yellow clothes after all this time. She has really good articulations which allow her to hit a lot of nice poses.
Splinter comes with
2 extra pairs of hands, a
hat, his
crutch,
2 sickle weapons,
2 throwing knives, a
katana, another
blade weapon (
not sure of the name), a
training pell, a
stand and a
diorama base, along with
4 baby turtles (so cute!). You can remove his poncho and hat to reveal a more '
basic'
Splinter. I like the design they went with. With those 2 characters, we now have the
Joy Toy version of the original '
10 Backs' (
+ an extra foot soldier)!

The fifth wave of
Joy Toy TMNT will have
Krang,
Tokka and
Slash, and has already started shipping from some retailers. Wave 6 has
Casey Jones,
Captain Zorax, a
Triceraton Infantryman and
Adjutant Zork. Looking forward to see what's next!
