For those of you not familiar with the classic Generation 1 cartoon series, Orion Pax was a Freight Handler on the docks of Cybertron during the planets first Golden Age. Then one day the evil Megatron, leader of the newly formed Decepticons came a calling. Orion who did not know much about the Decepticons at that time thought that Megatron and his fellow comrades were cool because they could fly. Leading Orion into a false sense of security, Megatron blasts Orion in the chest, so that he and the other Decepticons can steal the Energon being unloaded on the docks that day. On the brink of death some strange bots (Areialbots), who unknown to anyone else have traveled from the far future, take Orion to an encentric inventor named Alpha Trion in hopes that Orion can be repaired. Taking new techniques invented by Alpha Trion, he transforms the frail dock handler into the robot we all know today as Optimus Prime.
