In a recent article on this year's G.I.Joe Convention by The Hearld News, they confirm what is really no surprise to any G.I.Joe fan. Hasbro intends to launch a new G.I.Joe Animated series on their new network "The Hub," which is being launched later this year as a joint-venture with Discovery. Though the article gives no details about this new Joe series or even the name, it will be joining the previously announced new Transformers animated series which is titled "Prime."

Larrry Hama, a legend in the G.I. Joe comic world, will pen a new comic book series for publisher IDW that will be launched this fall, and Labovitz said kids and fans will get to see a new G.I. Joe animated series this fall on the new HUB network.

With the official G.I.Joe convention taking place this weekend, of which TNI will be covering in full, hopefully we can pry a few more details from the folks at Hasbro about this new show. Stay-tuned stating this evening and throughout the weekend for complete coverage of the 2010 G.I.Joe Convention.
