Congratulations to Dan Pinegar, winner of Hasbro’s silent auction at the 2010 G.I. Joe Convention. Mr. Pinegar’s winning bid of $1333.33 for the convention poster signed by the Hasbro G.I. Joe team will benefit the Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence, RI.
In total, about $7,300 was raised as a result of the poster auction as well as all of the items auctioned at the Saturday night dinner that included a limited edition G.I. Joe glass; breakfast with Richard Woodhouse; sketches from G.I. Joe designers and signage from the Hasbro tours.
The funds raised by these auctions will specifically be used for the Hasbro Children’s Hospital Healing Art Program to provide entertainment and interactive arts experiences for patients. The staff at the hospital will now be able to expand these offerings beyond once a month thanks to this donation.
Hasbro and the G.I. Joe team would like to extend their thanks to everyone who bid on all of the items. The Hasbro Children’s Hospital is very special to Hasbro and the Rhode Island community and we’re thrilled that the G.I. Joe brand’s fans helped us make this wonderful donation.
