IDW announced this past summer during the SDCC that they would be doing a new G.I. Joe and Street Fighter comic book mini-series and now we have more details via Comicbook.com.

The story will take place in a 6-issue miniseries written by Aubrey Sitterson, and art by Emilio Laiso. Check out the official solicitations and images for the covers to number 1 below. The first issue is due out in February 2016.

On a hidden island in international waters, 16 combatants enter a secret tournament… one that pits Street Fighter vs. G.I. JOE! M. New challengers Aubrey Sitterson(Hulk, Superman, Tech Jacket, Worth) and Emilio Laiso (Hack/Slash: Son of Samhain) bring the visceral combat of the world’s most popular fighting game series and the real world military action of America’s fighting elite together for the first time!
