What Might 6" G.I. Joe Action Figures From Hasbro Look Like?

With word of Hasbro’s new 6” G.I. Joe Classified line rumored to be coming later this year, we wondered what the actual figures might end up looking like? We will all likely get the answer to that question later next month during Toy Fair, which kicks off on February 22. Still, that’s a ways away. So we thought we would check out eBay, and see what was out there in the way of 6” G.I. Joe custom figures. Obviously it’s not the same thing, but we thought it might give us a good idea for what we might see officially next month.

Note: The items featured in this article should not be construed as me personally endorsing them as something to buy. I have never handled this items in-hand. My opinions are based solely on what I see and read in the action description. You may want to look into the items featured here, but I would definitely recommend you do more research on any item before making an actual purchase.

This first three figures come from eBay seller mytoycave-5. I don’t know if he actually made the figures or is just reselling them. I like how they combined the 6” figure with a Hall Of Heroes 3.75’ figure. This is an idea Hasbro might want to actually consider, so both scale collectors will be happy. I doubt they will, but I really do like the idea.

The first figure is based on one of my favorite characters, Major Bludd. I expect Hasbro’s figures will have a bit more modern sculpt design, but I do like this custom. I like how it incorporates an ab-crunch joint even with the chest plate. Click here to see more of this figure.

Next up is Joe member Low Light. Hasbro gave us a really nice 3.75” Low Light several years ago with lots of cool accessories. If we end up with a 6” version, I would expect no less. This custom also has a lot of accessories which makes it pretty cool. Click here to see more of this figure.

The final custom figure from this seller is based on the Cobra Infantry Soldier. If I was a betting man, I would say this is one Hasbro will definitely end up doing. The custom isn’t bad, but I do expect Hasbro’s version will look better. Click here to see more of this figure.

eBay seller followurheart0914 has up for auction this 6” custom for G.I. Joe member Beach Head. This custom seems to do a pretty good job of capturing the likeness of Beach Head’s body, but the head could use some work. It’s to smooth looking. Hopefully if Hasbro gives us an official version, it will have a mask more in keeping with the original lined ski-like mask. Click here to see more of this figure.

The master of disguise, Zartan is another fan-favorite that I really hope Hasbro plans on giving us in 6” form. This custom is being offered by eBay seller supermegabot, and while it doesn’t have any weapons I do like the clear chest plate. It would be even cooler if the skin changed colors in sunlight. Storm Shadow is probably one of the most popular characters in the G.I. Joe mythos, only second to Snake-Eyes. So it’s no surprise that people like to make customs of him. This first of two being featured here, is being offered by eBay seller followurheart0914. He has created a figure based more on the original second version of the charatcer, with the black spots on it. I assume if or when Hasbro does one, it will be based more on the original costume. This custom figure looks decent, but the hood needs some work. I do like all the weapon accessories included. Click here to see more of this figure.

This second Storm Shadow is being offered by eBay seller zackmack3. This one is seemingly based on a bit more modern design of the character, with the big Cobra symbol on the front of his mask. I actually like the look of this custom figure, and wouldn’t mind seeing Hasbro give us a similar version. Click here to see more of this figure.

Next up is our first of two Snake-Eyes custom figures. This one is being offered by eBay seller followurheart0914. Out of the two featured here, this is probably my least favorite, but I really like all the gear included with it. Especially the realistic army bag located on the back of the figure. Click here to see more of this figure.

This last custom which is of another Snake-Eyes, is probably my favorite of the bunch. It is being offered by eBay seller jnrstudios. The articulation looks nice and I like the clean detail on the visor. I think this custom gives us our best idea of what official 6” G. I. Joe figures will look like, if or when Hasbro releases them. I find it amusing that in the first picture the figure still has the SHIELD logo painted. Beach Head looks like a Killmonger with a new head. Clever use of the Night Trasher/Taskmaster mold for the second Snake Eyes custom. Between the Marvel Legends team and the "GI Joe team" which would be the first to give me some Red Ninjas to army build, I need to increase the ranks of the Hand.

That first snake eyes is wicked!

I loved the Storm Shadow and Snake-Eyes customs, but they all look awesome in general. Personally I'm not really attached to GI Joe, however, if the figures follow something along the lines of Marvel Legends or Power Rangers, I'm in!

Hasbro will most likely repaint Power Rangers Lightning or Marvel Legends SHIELD figures and put new heads on them.
