October 23, 2021
Do you remember what it was like to sit in front of the TV and wait for G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero to come on after school? Or the pure unfiltered joy you got from hanging on to every mission? We do, and we want that for you. The Skystriker, o-ring Ace, and o-ring Wayne Ruthel aim to help you grab ahold of that feeling again. They’ll supply you with immediate out-the-box display possibilities that are sure to transport you back to the 1980s in style. Set your sights on all three unlocks and you’ve got a killer operation. Join us on this major mission by funding today!

This HasLab begins NOW and ends on December 7th (45 days after)

If funded, we will begin shipping in the Spring of 2023.

Initiate the Mission: 10,000 backers needed to successfully fund

The Skystriker

-The Skystriker soars into action with over 200 deco ops!
-You’ll immediately notice the quality of engineering, right down to the moveable joystick in the cockpit.
-The cockpit isn’t the only feature to get an update. There are all new functioning landing levers, one for landing gear and one for wings, swappable black tail fins to match the packaging art, a useable tow hook, and multiple options for dog bone pins to customize weapon load out.
-The sculptural integrity is miles ahead of previous Skystriker This combat jet is made to last.
-It’s customizable! The Skystriker comes with different sets of high-quality decals. One set to look like the Skystriker we know and love, and one to look like an F-14 Tomcat! Plus, additional stickers of the pilot’s names to put on the window for that extra personalized touch. AND a second canopy to decorate the heck out of with all those stickers.

The Accessories

-No combat jet can be ever ready without a re-fueler tank and ammo cart. With new deco and pit crew design, the re-fueler tank and ammo cart are prepared to aid the Skystriker on any missions.
-ring your G.I. Joe battle display to the next level with an arsenal of blast effects pieces and missiles. The showdown display possibilities are nearly endless.
-Pose your favorite figures doing some maintenance work on the Skystriker with the included ladder and fuel tanks.
-Pose the Skystriker at multiple death-defying angles with the jet stand and recreate scenes from G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero and your childhood.

The 3 3/4 – inch, O-Ring Figures

-The original combat pilot, the o-ring Ace action figure is here and reporting for duty in his original deco
-Adding to the nostalgic, the o-ring Wayne Ruthel co-pilot action figure is included as an homage the character look inspired by the original art on the Skystriker
-Plus, two fabric parachutes for all those “tossing out of the treehouse” needs

More Backers, More Possibilities

Not quite endless, but definitely epic.

There are 3 possible additions to this combat crew, upping the worldbuilding potential of this HasLab to new heights.

Unlock 1 – 13,000 backers

Joe: A Real American here scene, o-ring Scarlett comes with a crossbow accessory to maximize her action capabilities. Never created before, and exclusive to this HasLab, o-ring Scarlett gives is a modern throwback to Real American Hero.

While I doubt anything is set in stone at this point and how they proceed will be based on sales for this, but I couldn't help notice many of the add-ons for the Haslab Skystriker would be things seen on an aircraft carrier. Then I noticed this addition of this hook (forgive me I don't know what this is officially called) added on the bottom which is something jets use for landing on aircraft carriers. This is not something that was featured on the original toy. It makes me think Hasbro is at least planning for the real possibility of a future Haslab USS Flagg.

After watching the video, I can see how much paint details and shape accuracy to a real Tom Cat this Sky Striker have in comparison with the cheaper Sky Striker I had in the 80s... ??

Yeah. In the thousands unless it was downsized, like a section of it.

Right. I mean it seems out of range to me.

I cannot imagine how big and how expensive a Flagg would be.

Does the original Flagg has that feature for the airplanes landing? I know they are trying to go for more for real life accuracy on the Tom Cat...?

I prefer this Classified Storm Shadow to the images him with the Bane mask and the Yakuza tattoo on the arm, but it bothers me a bit that everything they unveiled for Classified was very VERY classic, and I'm concerned about what it means for the line going forward.

I prefer this one as well but part of me was actually looking forward to seeing how that look would turn out and how it would translate to toy form, I probably would have acetoned the tattoo out, though. I also agree that some of these modern designs were interesting and I would like to see more. Hasbro could do a sort of retro line where they release Classified figures with the classic looks.

I just noticed PP B.A.T. doesn't come with a damaged faceplate option like the vanilla version is shown with. Also seems like both would have come with one of Hasbro's infamous flame attachments for their flamethrower wrist attachment. It also kind of bothers me that both come with a chest cover, but only a battle damaged version.

I bet we're gonna see 'variants' of the B.A.T. over the years. I am sure we'll eventually see one with all the options you mentioned above. Eventually. (And hopefully NOT Target exclusives). ?
