Wave 1 Of The Upcoming 6" MOTU Statues From Neca

He-Man.org has posted images of the first two 6" Masters of the Universe statues to be released by Neca and the Four Horsemen. Hordak and Clawfull. The second wave will consist of the Snout Spout, Stinkor, and Hordak's hunter, Grizzlor.

Since the 6" scaled MotU cold-cast static figure line are being produced in lower numbers than were produced for the action figure line, the Four Horsemen have the freedom to make the characters in proportions that they see fit. In other words, He-Man won't be towering over powerhouse monstrosities like Whiplash and Clawful.

Each character will be removable from their base and all of their accessories will be removable as well. Each of the character's bases will designate their faction. Hordak's evil hordes will be atop red bases, while Skeletor's minions will sport purple bases, and so on.

Illustrations for the packaging will be done by two of MotU history's biggest and most knowledgeable fanboys: Emiliano Santalucia and Val Staples, who brought us the recent Masters of the Universe comic book series.

Prototypes of all these figures except Grizzlor were shown off by Mattel at last summer's San Diego Comic Con. It had been hoped and that these were to be released as new action figures, but it now appears they will be used for the next best thing. Head on over to He-Man.org for more images of Hordak and Clawfull.
