Welcome to TNI's coverage of the Mattel and WWE: The Ultimate Tag Team Panel. This panel is made of of talent from both WWE and Mattel as we take look at upcoming products for the 2011 WWE line from Mattel. On panel are WWE's The Miz and Eve, WWE SVP of creative writing Brian Gewirtz, WWE lead writer Ed Koskey, WWE VP of global licensing Florence DiGiorgio, Mattel toy designers Bill Miekina and Derek Handy, and Mattel WWE brand manager Enrique Ruvalcaba!

For WWE talent look for The Miz and Diva Eve Torres.

Wave 7 basic figure Shamus Coming.

Macho Man figure is coming. Macho Man say 2011 will be the year of Macho Man.

Images from the panel have been added below in our GALLERY.

Q&A Session has started with members of the audience.

Vince told Miz he had great legs once and after that Vince deemed Miz would wear trunks instead of tights.

The writers have to adjust for stories and come up with stuff on the fly when writing stories for WWE.

Individual figure usually takes about 10 months from concept to shelf.

According to Miz, the guys in the Nexus have tons of passion and will become individual big stars eventually.

Nexus won't take Miz out though according to him.

When Miz was first on The Real World, people said what will you do to stand out, he didn't know but he was going to try it. He made it and then those same people were kissing his butt. He then moved on to the next challenge of his life which he decided was wrestle. He went to UPW a independent wrestling school to train. He trained for 3 years while trying to get on every reality show he possibly could to get the attention of WWE. Then tried out for Tough Enough and made it, he didn't win, but where is the winner now???? You can loose and still win. Finally made it as Smack Downs host, the Ryan Seacrest of the WWE, he was like WTF but did the best he could with it. He forgot the phone number once of the contest he was hosting at one point. The locker room hated him. Back then everyone hated him, now days everyone gets along great but back then everyone in the locker room hated Miz. So he used the microphone to rub it in their face, and now that he is the money in the bank he is rubbing it in.

Miz also talked about JBL who said in front of people JBL would make fun of him but one-on-one JBL was nice and helpful. Miz also reads what everyone says about him on the net. And he will be bigger than The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

The writers aren't really sure why there are no managers in the WWE anymore. Its kind of a lost art and Brian isn't sure why that is. Possibly cause the Wrestlers are so skilled on the mic these day while back then they needed someone like a manager do the talking for them.

When it comes to booking sometimes talent goes over their allotted time which can cause problems. They are constantly in edit mode. It's not ideal but one of the things you have to deal with a live show.

Check back for more images from the Mattel booth of upcoming WWE figures.
