"Brightest Day" Action Figures Coming From DCD

by Jay Cochran
July 14, 2010
After the BLACKEST NIGHT comes the BRIGHTEST DAY, and if you’re still reeling from the amazing look of the DC DIRECT figures surrounding last year’s DCU-spanning event, you may need to sit down for this one.

Starting in March, DC DIRECT will kick off another series of high-quality and story-specific product, this time based around the hit biweekly series, BRIGHTEST DAY. We’ve got a first look at the first two waves, which include Hawkgirl, Green Arrow, Deadman, Aquaman, Hawkman, Martian Manhunter, Firestorm and Mera.

Thank Youuuuuuuuu Snowman81 you truly have made my day with these pictures. Deadman looks awesome can't wait for these!!!!!!

Hehe....thank Michael Crawford, he took the pics.

Well then a big Thank You to him for taking them and to you for posting the link here. It seems this year I've been having problems finding much coverage of the stuff I like maybe I need to expand my collecting site list.

And I still say that Deadman needs a trechcoat and an interchangeable head.

Would be nice for sure, as is only the white ring on his finger really gives any sign that this isn't a typical Deadman figure.

That's just a cut down version I did of the full image over at mwctoys.com.

I still want it anyway, but yes the DCUC one is one of the best.

Looks orange enough to me. One thing I will say about DCUC (even though I prefer DC Direct), their classic Aquaman is amazing. Might be tough for this one to beat. It will still likely be the best DCD has done.

Thanks!! Man I really want that Aquaman.

Not really digging the Aquaman figure for some reason....

Same, but I know why I don't like him. It's the cooper color...I really don't like it. I wish DC would just go back to plan old orange for his shirt. Update the designs a bit if you want, but leave the colors alone.

Max Lord is not my favorite character either.

This lame-case was treated to an AWESOME death when Wonder Woman gave his head a 180 degree turn that was witnessed by millions!

What's that? Comics have made another cool death moot??? Shocking.
