Four Horsemen Studios Stavros the Unwavering (BigBadToyStore 25th Anniversary Exclusive) Review and Images

This week, we're having a look at the Stavros the Unwavering figure from the Four Horsemen Studios, which was part of the BigBadToyStore 25th Anniversary exclusive figures. Going through my backlog during the summer, I've had this figure for a couple of months and hadn't had given it a proper look until now. It's a glorious dragon warrior with soft goods embracing the BigBadToyStore colors.

Like some convention exclusive figures before him, the packaging of Stavros the Unwavering does not bear any brand or logo of any line, he is not technically part of the Mythic Legions line, even though he uses parts that we have seen before there. The Mythic Legions line had Aracagorr in the Poxxus wave that was also a towering dragon warrior, but I was not into the blue skin/scales color of that one. They later did a green one, Sskur'ge, for the Cosmic Legions line, but I would prefer my dragon warrior it to be 'Mythic rather than Cosmic'. So when they announced a black version of that ogre-scale dragon warrior, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of BBTS, that sealed the deal!





Stavros the Unwavering (Stavros... is he Greek?) comes with 2 pairs of hands, a large sword, a mace, and additional parts to put in his back to cover the peg holes if they are not used. It is a heavy action figure, that can absolutely be used as a weapon and do some damage. The paint on that figure is amazing, it has blue and purple highlights around its eyes that are subtle yet present. The red soft goods tunic, to represent BigBadToyStore, along with the symbol with the letters BBTS hidden in it is a nice tribute. The tunic had wired edges and can be posed. In terms of articulations, it doesn't move that much, like previous ogre-scale figures, due to its size and the shoulder pauldrons can get in the way, but he makes up for it with amazing sculpt, details and paint. A beautiful homage!
