The fiance is not AS excited about this one as I am...... #hang@ I guess the 6"ers are less conspicuous. I have so many of those that most anything new blends right in.
I really like this figure. NECA was even able to make the batarang collapsible. You can fold the batarang just like how it was designed in the film. It doesn't have a spring so pop out like the movie though. Still NECA beat Hot Toys by including this feature. The tri claw grapple was also not included in the Hot Toys release as well.
I find the 1/4 figures to be hard to stand. Same case with the Adam West Batman. I figured it's because both figures lack good ankle joints. The trick for Keaton Bats it to spread the legs a little wider.

He's only the second quarter scale figure I own (I have an old McFarlane Ash from movie maniacs) and I'd consider grabbing the Adam West version now, too. A friend of mine has the Hot Toys figure and there are things I like better about it and things I like better about this one. The Hot Toys figure has the benefit of the full suit, swappable faces, more accessories, and the moving eyes. This guy has a more dyanamic cape and the ability to be a bit more mobile and crisper, cleaner details on the suit. Plus he's cheaper and larger.
I wish I could have both myself!
Hots Toys still wins, despite price tag, considering that a big batman, specifically a movie version, is worthless without his arch nemesis...
Keaton Bats is iconic and can stand on his own either way. I don't think you can really go wrong with either one but for me personally, getting a Hot Toys Batman and then a Hot Toys Joker (and spending anywhere from $800 to $1,000 in the process) is NOT realistic anyway.
If/when Mattel does the 6" versions, I'll happily worry about building a movie rouges gallery then.
The problem with the Hot Toys line is that it is their cash cow, moreso than their Iron Man figures. That said, hey do an updated Joker and Batman from the Nolan Universe every year. A Bale Batman with Alfred figure was announced last week.
On top of that, there are the bootleg figures of the Joker that is made every once in a while, and even those do well. The last Joker figure had Kato, a popular 1/6 tailor, tailored his clothes. Even after that figure was released, Kato released an unofficial run of Joker suits to go with that particular figure. So imagine a hardcore 1/6 person buying the Kato joke for $400? dollars and then dropping $1000 dollars for a suit made by a tailor who designed a similar suit that is included for that same toy, Crazy!
I guess my point is that with the Hot Toys line, there is always going to be a better version.

Looking at youtube reviews. I'm pretty much sold on the likeness and the fact that he's a couple of hundred dollars (!) less than Hot Toys. The added features of the Hot Toys-the extra faces, moving eyes, couple of extra weapons-are very cool. But hundreds of dollars MORE cool? That's hard to justify. My only worry is that he's TOO tall. I don't have anything that big yet...

As for the 1/4 Batman figure, I saw images online and it is impressive! Since you already have gotten it and don't plan to get any other NECA toys in that scale, you've made the right choice considering that NECA couldn't get the license to do the Batman Return and the Nicolson's likeness.
There's no way I'd have room for any more 18" stuff so that OK.
The only thing I'd consider would be an 18" Reeve Superman but they'd have to have a better likeness than they did on the Cavil Supes.
