Metal Gear Solid 4 Confirmed?!?

With "Snake Eater", the 3rd game in the Metal Gear Solid series due out soon, it seems Konami is already looking to the future for it's popular Metal Gear series.

During a financial report meeting this past week Konami announced that it did indeed have plans for Metal Gear Solid 4. Motoyuki Yoshioka, The CEO for Konami of Japan, was quoted as saying during the meeting, "We have some ideas and we've had them for some time now. We will continue to create more games on the series."

No further information has been released at this time, though it is likely that the title would appear on one of the next-generation platforms like Play Station 3. We will probably need to wait until the dust settles from "Snake Eater", which was just recently completed and set for a November 17 release in the United States, Japan on December 16 and Europe early next year, before we hear anything more.
