According to Famitsu Magazine, a Japanese-only publication, Capcom began liquidating assets in response to lower-than-expected sales of last year's Onimusha 3, Viewtiful Joe 2, and other games, as well as a disappointing first week for Resident Evil 4.
More details are not known at this time, and they could simply be freeing assets to make themselves more stable.
