McFarlane Toys announced today that a whole new look will be going into affect soon for their toys:
In an effort to make our toys more retailer-friendly, our new packaging department spent the early part of the year working on streamlining our somewhat standard clamshell packaging. They wanted to allow the packaging to reveal more of the figure, while providing more information in a smaller overall footprint. The reduction in the overall footprint will allow us to squeeze an extra "stripe" into some stores, or possibly get a solo stripe into a store that doesn't currently carry our product.
We'll debut the new packaging this summer. The first Sports Picks line to feature the new packaging will be NFL Legends 3, but we'll be "testing" it at Colorado Wal-Mart stores with a limited re-release of our original John Elway figure from NFL Legends 1.
