We first told you about these back in March, and now we have our first official look at the upcoming Retro 66 Batman TV Series line coming from McFarlane Toys. In the image we get looks at the regular Batman,Robin and Joker figures as well as partial looks at the Batmobile vehicle and Batcave playset also being released.

Unlike the McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse figures which are 7" tall, these figures are listed as being 6". Other figures we know coming to the line based on overseas listings include Riddler, Batman in Swim Shorts, Joker in Swim Shorts and a NYCC exclusive unmasked Batman.

Stay-tuned for more details on this new line to be released soon.

Batcave looks fun, especially if they can nail that $30 price point. Would be great for some of my other displays.

The figures don't look that good to me. Not terrible, but not great even at $15. Might change my mind seeing them in person, though.

As much as I love the 66 show, I think it's hard to capture in toy form. If you go too literal, things end up looking gangly and wonky like Mattel, but if you try to beef things up like McFarlane has here, it still doesn't look right. I think it needs to be reinterpreted on some level, but finding that sweet spot is difficult. I actually really liked the Funko 3 inch line, as it seemed to do that well... But we never got that darn second wave with the main villains. Blah.

These look good, I'm just not crazy about how the capes turned out. I get that the need cloth capes to fit in the Batmobile though. They still look better than Mattels capes.

Why are you gatekeeping?

That person is allowed to like what they like, without judgment from someone like you. You like this Batman? Great, this is for you.

They don't like this Batman? Great, this isn't for them.

So what? Don't be a dick over it.

This is the very set I wanted back in the day when the reruns were onat 4pm in the afternoon.

Todd did a much better job on this than Mattel did. The price points make thisa no brainer even if the fluctuate upwards a little. Heck, even if you paid for that overpriced dis-proportioned nothing-but-a-hunk-plastic Mattel Batmobile, you are definitely going to get this one.

I think several ofyou have been jaded in accepting higher prices for crap. I personally think the prices on these items are where they should be all along and would not bring them into question. Dont look a gifthorse in the mouth. Especially if you paid 80 bucks on Mattel batmobile with doors that dont even open.

With all that this set has going for it and the memories that it will bring back, I still think the capes suck. Can always find something at the fabric store to replace them, though.

Yeah i remember it being on 4 or 430 on pix11 here in the nyc area. I wouldve lost my $#!tif these had come out back then lol.

Looking forward to surfer joker lol. Are they doing a surfer batman too?

These seem cool for those who want this type of thing, I'm not a big fan of this whole show, I find it to be too whimsical and goofy, even as a kid I quickly got out of it. I do think it's cool to see things like the Batcave , I wouldnt buy any of these in less we got Catwoman or Batgirl but it is good to see these are 6'' rather then 7.

Whimsical?? Goofy? Maybe. Tongue in cheek? Definitely. That was what they were going for and why it was popular and successful.

The image also gives us our first real look at the figure cardbacks and packaging for the line. Both the Batcave and Batmobile are expected to cost around $30 each. While the Batcave doesn't appear to extend much beyond the Bat-Computer area as we saw in the initial preview image, for only $30 I would say it looks pretty good. Look for this new 66 Batman TV series line to be one of the highlights for this weekend's Showcase event where we will get full looks at everything shown here.

They look pretty good and loo forward for the showcase event.??
