by Jay Cochran
September 26, 2004

Spawn.com has released information about McFarlane Toys first 12-inch-scale MLB and NBA figures. The 12-inch program was launched in 2003 with five NFL figures and a pair of NHL stars as well. The figures proved to be immensely popular, which led to sequels to both lines and the expansion to include MLB and NBA players as well. For the first 12-inch MLB figures they chosen two of the most popular players in current and recent baseball history. Nolan Ryan and Sammy Sosa. For the NBA they will be doing Yao Ming and LeBron James.

Look for the 12-inch Ryan and Sosa figures to arrive in stores in mid-November, and for the 12-inch Ming and James figures to arrive one month later. For more information about these, Click here.
